You Are Loved – Ephesians 3

From my reading in Ephesians 3 in the One Year Bible New Testament.

I am loved.

Those are three of the most powerful words in the world. They change everything. Paul was praying that the Ephesians would experience God’s love deeply.

“Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” Eph 3:17-19

Root yourself in God’s love.

God’s love is the source of strength for our faith. It is what we can rely on. God’s love allows us to trust him.  As we respond to this love, Christ will make his home in our hearts.

God’s love is impossible to fully grasp.

Paul prays that the Ephesians would know how vast the love of God is. By using the ideas of length, hight, depth, and width he is saying God’s love is infinite and unmeasurable.

God’s love can be experienced.

You can experience God’s love personally. We won’t be able to fully grasp it until heaven, but you can have a taste here and now.

It is only when you experience God’s love that you are made complete with the power and life that God intended for you to have. When you has a real experience with God’s love you are never the same!

My prayer is that I would experience more and more of God’s love and trust in it for my life.

Have you experienced God’s love for yourself?
