8 Encouraging Truths For Christians From Romans 8:22-39

From my reading in Romans 8:22-39 in the One Year Bible New Testament.

If you love God have are following Jesus then these truths apply to you.

1. The Holy Spirit is your preview of the future glory you will experience in heaven.

“And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. Rom 8:23a

2. You will be given a new body in heaven.

We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us. Rom 8:23

3. The Holy Spirit prays for you!

“And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.” Rom 8:26

4. God works all things together for your good.

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

5. God chose you to become like Jesus.

“For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters” Rom 8:28-29

6. If God is for you no one can stop you.

“What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?” Rom 8:31

7. Overwhelming victory is yours through Jesus.

No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.” Rom 8:37

8. NOTHING can separate you from God’s love.

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Rom 8:38-29
